June Favorites

Hello beauties!! I’m going to talk about a couple of my favorites from the month of June. I use most of these every day and just love them!  Just a warning the word Favorite will be used A LOT.

One of favorites of the month, the Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12-hour Primer SPF 30, is amazing. It adds just enough coverage without feeling like I have makeup on. I love that it has SPF 30 so I don’t have to worry about protecting my face throughout the day. You can also use it as a primer under foundation or it can be used by itself. The packaging describes is as “healthy treatment, buildable coverage, oil-free moisturizer, pore minimizer, and skin brightener”.  It is definitely my favorite BB cream. Another beauty favorite from this month is EOS Lip Balm. **Beauty hack** It’s supposed to be used as chap-stick but instead I used it as eyebrow gel. It is perfect for when you brush your eyebrows and want something to keep it in place. It’s more affordable than some eye brow gels and works the same.

Another random favorite of mine, that I will be using tonight, is the TONYMOLY I’m Real Brightening Mask Sheet. It brightens my skin making it look radiant and refreshed. I always buy the Brightening mask but the Tea Tree, Aloe, and Rice are amazing as well. Urban Outfitters has a 4 for 10 special, so every time I’m there I pick up a couple.

My all time favorite perfume, Burberry Horseferry House Horseferry road, is no longer on sale. The packaging says limited and I was not able to fine it anywhere on their website. I got it as a Christmas present and use it everyday but I still wanted to include it in my monthly favorites. The person who bought it for me is very special so every time I wear the perfume it reminds me of them. I love when certain scents bring up old memories❤️

My last item is the Gold Debra Necklace from Kendra Scott. Kendra Scott has an amazing deal where you get 50% off any piece from the store…. How cool is that? I may or may not use my family’s discount when it’s their birthday month.. Anyways, I am absolutely in love with it and think it can be paired with so many things. It’s very elegant, classy, and super chic.

That’s all for my monthly favorites! Hope you enjoyed and I will try to do my favorites every month. Thanks for reading and make sure to follow me on Instagram!

Shower Essentials

Hi everyone!! I thought I would do something different on my blog and post about my shower routine/essentials. Most of these products I have used for a while and some are new. Enjoy!

  • The first thing I do in the shower is wash my hair. I am constantly changing the shampoo/ conditioner I use. Smell is a huge factor in the process of choosing what products I use. ….I know silly but I want to make sure my hair is smelling good. Next is how the product can improve my hair. At the moment I am using Dove Coconut & Hydration Shampoo and TRESemmé Expert Nourish & Replenish Conditioner. Dove shampoo adds softness and nutrition to my hair while creating a refreshing scent of coconut water and lime.  TRESemmé Conditioner leaves my hair smooth, soft, and moisturized with a aroma of coconut milk and aloe vera.
  • Step 2 in my shower routine is washing up. There are only two body washes pictured but I have at least five in my shower. I hate having just one shower gel and must have various scents. My two favorite at the moment are the Soap & Glory Clean On Me Shower Gel and Bath & Body Works Fiji Pineapple Pam Shea & Vitamin E Shower Gel. I’ve raved about the Soap & Glory wash on my first blog post, Current Beauty Favorites. Still obsessed with it! The Bath & Body Works shower gel is also a perfect summer scent.
  • My last step while showering is washing my face. I try to stick with the same face wash, as changing it too frequently can cause break outs. The product that I use to wash my face is the Philosophy Purity face cleanser. I mentioned how much I loved this product in my post, Skincare Routine That Changed My Life. The texture is extremely smooth and gentle.

After I shower I like to brush my hair right away. This causes my hair to dry straight  so I can avoid straightening it. I switch off every night using the two products pictured above. I have used the Color Proof Radically Smooth Anti- Frizz Serum for several years now. As the packaging describes, it “instantly smooths, defrizzs and adds shine” to my hair. The smell is also amazing. I have used the It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In-Product for over a year now. It does an incredible job getting rid of all the knots in my hair. I will definitely buy the full product! Highly recommend it.

I would like to make a quick shout out to an amazing blogger I just recently discovered! Go check out her blog, TheWhiteRose, and Instagram, @thewhiterose.ela. Her content is amazing and something I think everyone would enjoy 🙂

Forever 21 Mini Haul

shoes and grey shirtorange and white shirtwhite shirt

Hello!! Since it’s summer I decided to do a little online shopping. Forever 21 is one of my favorite stores due to its inexpensive prices. I’m constantly ordering from there… opps. Hope you enjoy this post 🙂

Oversized Dolman Top & Faux Suede Slides : LOVE this duo together!! The top is very comfortable and can go with a lot. It’s simple but you can dress is up with jewelry and other accessories. The shoes are a little hard to walk in but are very cute. I’m obsessed with the color!! Click the link if you want a better picture of both items.

Ribbed Knit Tee &  Formfitting Tank Top : The white knit tee is extremely comfortable and I love the material. The only downside is that it is very see through and would need to be worn with a tank top underneath. I’m in love with the color of the crop top. It’s the perfect summer color and makes my skin look tanner which is always a plus 🙂

Cutout Choker Tee : This shirt is very simple and can be worn with almost anything. I’m excited to pair it with skirts. I love the style of the cutout/ choker and think it would look cute tucked in high wasted shorts or skirts!

Review: June Ipsy 2017 Bag

Hello Bloggers! In this post I will be reviewing the products I received in my June 2017 Ipsy Bag.

theBalm Cosmetics Balm Springs Blush : My favorite item I received in my bag!! As you can see the product is very small but it will go a long way. I’m not really a blush person although this product changed my mind. It adds color to my face, while making me look tanner. I will most likely end up buying the full product.

Aloe Rescue Revitalizing Fiber Mask & Green Tea Detox Purifying Fiber Mask : The bag contained two masks (Green Tea not pictured). The only one I tried is the Green Tea and it is very soothing to my skin and definitely brightened it! I am excited to try the Aloe Rescue because the packaging says it is great to use after being in the sun, which I am in a lot.

Doucce Maxlash Volumizer Mascara : Obsessed with this product. It is one of my new favorite mascaras, and I am very picky with mascara! The brush applicator is very thick and definitely adds volume and length to my lashes.

NYX Professional Lip & Cheek Soufflè : Not my favorite product I received due to the color. I am not really a light/ bright pink person when it comes to lipstick. I do think it is cool that you can use it as a lipstick AND blush. It applies very smoothly!

Luna by Luna Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Jace : The final product is a rose colored eyeshadow. I love the color and think it is a perfect eyeshadow to use for a simple makeup look. By applying more, it can also create a bold look.

Overall I am happy with most of the makeup products. I recommend subscribing to Ipsy if you are interested in sampling makeup products. It is $10 per month plus tax. You will receive five makeup products, some sample size and some full size.

**Disclaimer : I am not sponsored by Ipsy and pay for my subscription. **

Benefits of Tea

I thought I should share some facts on the importance and benefits of tea! It’s been my new obsession and perfect for when you’re cozy in bed at night or in the morning. The warmness of the tea can also help a sore throat and allergies. The tea pack I bought comes with several samples of various teas. They’re all good for you and your body.

The first one I tried is the Celestial Seasonings Sleepy Time Tea. It contains no caffeine and zero calories. This herbal tea is made of soothing herbs such as chamomile, cool spearmint, and fresh lemon grass. Chamomile aids in better sleep, can relieve upset stomachs, ease menstrual cramps, and help with colds. Lemon grass is calming, antibacterial, and helps digestion. Lastly, Spearmint improves digestions, contains soothing qualities, and can boost your respiratory system.

The Chamomile packet is similar to the Sleepy Time Tea as it helps with sleep, upset stomachs and menstrual cramps. The Honey Vanilla Chamomile Tea contains flavors of honey and creamy vanilla. This tea is very soothing and relaxing as it is calorie and caffeine free. It can relieve allergy symptoms, helps with anxiety, headaches, nausea, and skin irritation.

One of my favorites, Peppermint Tea, is very fresh and the smell is amazing. I am a big fan of peppermint as it is, so there is no surprise that I love this tea. It also includes astounding benefits such as boosting memory, relieves muscle aches, headaches, helps with dental care, weight loss, and sinus and stress relief. I love drinking it before bed while I’m watching Netflix or just winding down.

The last tea in the packet is the Lemon Zinger. The taste is very “zingy” as the package describes. I think this tea is best for in the morning but it can also be consumed at night as it is caffeine free. It helps with colds/flu, digestive problems, headaches, toothaches, and is very calming.

I hope that you find these benefits helpful and it urges you to drink more tea!! 🙂

  1. Aussie Total Miracle Dry Shampoo – My all time favorite dry shampoo! It leaves my hair feeling refreshed, clean, and soft. One of the best things about it is the smell. The best I can describe it is as cotton candy. It is perfect for when you’ve gone a little too long without washing your hair and you need a pick me up.
  2. Mario Badescu Facial Spray – One word, AMAZING. I can not compliment this product enough. It is a light facial spray with aloe, herbs, and rosewater. I use it after I take off my makeup, before I put on my makeup, and as a setting spray.
  3. Soap & Glory Clean On Me Shower Gel and Body Butter – This duo is one of my favorite body wash and body butter. I bought the travel size a couple weeks ago and after using it once I fell in love. So much I bought a bigger bottle! It has a refreshing and soothing smell, leaving my skin feeling smooth.
  4. Tarte LipSurgence Lip Crème – Swatches Left to Right: Twinkling, Majestic, Enlightened, and Sugar. I could not find the exact product I had ordered, but the one I linked is similar. I highly recommend these lip sticks. They are very smooth and feel like I’m putting on chap-stick. It does not feel at all drying or cracky. The lighter shades are perfect for a simple lip tint. They do not stay on as long as matte lip glosses, but last for a good bit.
  5. Tarte Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette – **Limited Edition. I would purchase this product asap. It contains so many beautiful shades, ranging from light to dark. It is the perfect eyeshadow palette for makeup beginners. I love how it comes with matte shades along with shimmer shades. A mirror is attached which makes me love the product even more. The packaging is also very light weight and perfect for traveling. Obsessed.
